Signings under your closing attorney’s supervision
Loan-signing and notarization services under the supervision of your closing attorney. We meet you at an agreed time and place, present each document your attorney or lender has prepared, show you where to sign, check that everything is signed and dated, and notarize where required.
What we may do
- Present and identify each document in the package
- Show you where to sign, initial and date
- Check that every signature and date is complete
- Check ID and notarize where required
- Return the package as your attorney or title company instructs
What we don’t do
- Conduct closings or represent any party
- Explain loan terms or what a document means
- Answer rate, fee, rescission or prepayment questions
- Choose or fill in documents, or advise how to take title
- Hold or disburse funds
We are not attorneys. We don’t conduct closings, explain loan terms, or give legal advice: North Carolina requires a licensed attorney to handle real estate closings. Questions about your loan or documents go to your closing attorney or lender, and we’ll gladly pause so you can call them.
Packages we sign
We sign refinances, home equity lines, purchase packages, reverse mortgages, and out-of-state loan packages for signers here in Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln (including Lincolnton) and Mecklenburg Counties.
For closing attorneys and title companies
- Send the request. Signer names, location, preferred time and your instructions, by phone or text at (980) 870-0911.
- We confirm. We contact the signers to confirm the appointment and the travel agreement.
- The signing. We check ID, present the documents, and notarize where required.
- Documents returned. We return the signed package as your closing attorney or title company instructs, usually with the prepaid shipping label or courier they provide.
Each of our notaries carries a notary bond, and we carry errors-and-omissions insurance. Proof of commission, bond and E&O coverage is available to hiring attorneys and title companies on request.
